One Billion Socials

Aka, every place you can contact me ever. It's gotten a bit ridiculous, but I've searched high and low for a "good" replacement for current mainstream social medias. The top ones listed are more mainstream, then towards the bottom, less so.

Bsky (ibuuprofen) - It's the okayest website I've ever been on. Meaning I have no negative or positive feelings about it. Which at this point, is pretty fuckin good.

Tumblr (ibuuprofen, acetaminophriends) - I'm in a abusive relationship with tumblr.

Reddit - I mostly use it to ask dumb questions. Better than quora thank fucking god. Actually I refuse to put my link here, I have two dead accounts and one anonymous.

Mastodon (ibuuprofen) - Instances are a pain in the ass to me so I just use the default website. It's okay. I just use it to post art.

Stoat/Revolt (acetaminophriends#4038) - I don't even remember why I started using stoat, since I don't have any large nitpicks with discord as of now. I kind of hope I don't remember.

Pillowfort (ibuuprofen) - Somewhat similar to tumblr but posts primarily spread through communities rather than through tagging. Since the community feature is its main one I don't bother doing any personal blogging there because it would just feel awakward and no one would see it.

Odysee - I just lurk so I'm not putting my username. Its best point is that it's a youtube alternative that's not completely filled to the brim with far-right conspiracy theory nonsense. Youtubers...videoers...whatever you want to call them now...have the option to sync their videos to odysee which would make it easy to move to. The down side is that it's funded by crypto. Fuck everyone for real.

Proton mail (ibuuprofen@proton.me) - Yup. Preddy good.

Bear blog (https://ibuprofen.bearblog.dev/) - Good for what it's made for. The BEAR necessities. I'll use it if neocities goes down or something idk.

Strawpage (https://ibuuprofen.straw.page/) - You can also access it by clicking on the mailbox on the front page of my site. Blinks sweetly.

Club Penguin Journey (trumpetbwaaa) - You don't think CPJ is a social media? Grow up. Instagram is old news.

Peertube - Hard as fuck to use and only good if you want to share and discover videos within a very specific demographic. Otherwise, good luck navigating 20+ instances. I cannot take people who pose this an alternative to youtube seriously. Only the nerdiest most chronically online people would use this, WHICH IS FINE, but it's not a good alternative.

Bitview - A platform specifically created to bring back the nostalgia of old youtube, but tbh I don't find anything there useful or entertaining. I'll probably continue to poke it with a stick every few months, but I can't see myself actually using this as a viewer. Maybe as a creator?... Just a place to host my videos that isn't dominated by google or funded by crypto or crawling with awful people.

Spacehey - a myspace revival. It's unsurprisingly filled with emo kids or whatever, which is cool, but not what I'm interested in. Is it weird for me to say I could see myself using it as a reddit alternative?
