  • Working on re-adding articles. Might try to divide up the "worldbuilding" section like a wikipedia page if I have the time. 5/3/25

Below is the link to temptationstairway, a work in progress fansite that will be a collection of information about the Ena franchise. I look forward to seeing what they add in the future!

Nobody needs to be punished for being born, except you of course.

About:

This is a fanpage for Ena: Dream BBQ and the titular Ena series. Here I'll write my ideas about the world and its characters, display fan art, and more.

This is where I will put my own graphics (dividers, stamps, ect) here for your use.

Temporarily removed, come back in few days!

Though Ena the video series and Ena: Dream BBQ the game seem separate from eachother in a lot ways, there are some consitencies in the worldbuilding which is what I will be attempting to document here. That being said, I don't believe the old and new Ena are necessarily connected or the same person, though I have my own headcannons about them, and as of writing this, only chapter one has been released; so that's the perspective I'll be writing from. I also will try to avoid putting references that seem more like an inside joke than actually having to with the story and world as a whole.

  • Doors as a portal or dimension, and more specifically, anthropomorphic doors. In Temptation Stairway, we can see Ena enter one of the grey pose dolls is wearing the same shade of turquoise that the doors in Dream BBQ are made of.
  • Chocolate as currency, Seen in Auction Day, and also can be aquired in game after completing a quest, which you can then use to buy mayonnaise.
  • Genies. In Ena BBQ genies are often mentioned, and thus far we have only Theodora, the bathroom genie in the lonely door. Peirro the genie is mentioned but not yet shown. Runas in Temptation Stairway is likely a genie as well as the Therapist from Power of Potluck; the real life runas is a windows command which allows you to run as an administrator from a different user. But interestingly, both Runas and Theodora refuse Ena true hapiness.
  • Blood ID's. The Shepard lends Ena a blood ID in Temptation Stairway which appears as an electronic component, and Coral Glasses in Dream BBQ also tell Ena that if she finds an entity to organize the inauguraton for the new genie in horse door, to fax her a blood sample from said entity.
  • The hallways in Extinction Party can be breifly seen through one of the doors in the purge event in Dream BBQ. Some users have explored it with mods but seems to contain nothing for now.
  • The blue tombstones with mouths which appear in Auction Day as bidders, and also in outworld.
(Note: If the story between the series and game are consistent at all, it makes me wonder why the hell she was casually hanging out with Moonie there. Unsure whether I should actually include this on the list or not.)

Bonus theories/possibilities:

(These will be removed if explicitly disproven in future chapters of Dream BBQ)

  • The implication of there being multiple Ena's or Ena as a species. In Temptation Stairway when Ena passes the Shepard and enters the code, we breifly see her surrounded by multiples of her body floating around. In the entire series characters pronounce her name in a lot of different ways, and in Dream BBQ she claims "one bathroom isn't enough for this many bodies". The shaman also says that "One person can be in two places at once. Although, a magician does not have to be in two places at once. He can be in one place at one time," possibly implying that experiencing time and space linearly as we do is unusual for entities within this world.
